Soccer Head Protection
Big changes are taking place in the US Soccer scene and it has to do with Heading, with the ultimate goal of
U.S. Soccer has implemented new Heading rules as requirements for players that are part of U.S. Soccer's Youth National Teams and the Development Academy.
These requirements will be eliminating heading for children 10 and under, and limiting the amount of heading in practice for children between the ages of 11 and 13.
What does this mean to you? It's a clear acknowledgement that head injuries can occur in soccer. And, it's not just with heading. According to United States Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) statistics, 40 percent of soccer concussions are attributed to head to player contact; 10.3 percent are head to ground, goal post, wall, etc.; only12.6 percent are head to soccer ball, including accidents; and 37 percent are not specified.
Again, it's clear head injuries can occur in soccer. It only takes one hit! What’s protecting your head?
Finally, there is a product on the market offering style, comfort and protection for soccer and any other sport or activity where impacts to the head may occur.
Whether it's heading the ball or incidental contact, soccer is a physical sport and it only makes sense to add a layer of protection!

Style: We understand head wear is still a new concept in soccer, to combat this concern, ThundaGear utilizes the hat design of a skull cap which is accepted as fashionable head wear.
Comfort: Many have commented that they don't even know it's on their head!
Protection: Our patented gel formula combines all the elements to provide superior impact absorption and dispersion characteristics. ICS Lab tests showed a decrease in G-force impact to the head and real world testing was performed by The University of Toledo Rockets football team! ThundaGear's skull cap design offers more coverage than many other products on the market.
No piece of equipment or safety device can guarantee against sustaining a head injury in soccer, but it just makes sense to have an extra layer of gel-protection between your head and impact.
